Located on Archway Road, one of the main arteries into central London, and with such close proximity to public amenities, we identified this site as a potential opportunity for redevelopment. So, working closely with Origin Housing Group, we helped them to purchase the site and gain planning permission for our proposed scheme.

The 9 storey scheme provides a total of 25 new apartments, with a selection of 1 and 2 beds. This includes 7 rental apartments, one of which is wheelchair accessible, and 20 affordable apartments – all of which have now been successfully sold. Each apartment was carefully designed to maximise comfort, with bedrooms positioned at the rear, away from the busy road. Residents also have access to outdoor space, with each apartment having their own private balcony.

We designed the nine-storey residential development to maximise the potential of the site, with the building sitting right up to the site boundaries. The upper floors have been designed to take full advantage of extensive panoramic views across the breadth of London from the Olympic Park and Canary Wharf through the West End and over to West London.

Throughout the design process we worked closely with planners and the local community to ensure the development met the needs of the local community.

The environmental measures of the design were a high priority throughout, and we designed the building to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes Level Four. We incorporated features such as whole house heat recovery ventilation to improve the air quality, high levels of insulation and a ground source heat pump.
